Back to School Saturdays

Back to School

On Saturday I headed out to Potomac Mills in Virginia for a Teen Vogue Back to School Saturday event. They showcased some great back to school and fall fashion, which as we all know is my favorite kind of fashion so I was pretty happy. The only downside of the event was that I walked outside after it was over into the 100 degree VA heat and humidity and realized I have at least 2 more months until I can even think about wearing fun fall fashion.

The event had a great DJ and ongoing fashion show, a hair and beauty bar sponsored by Bubbles, and a Flash Tattoo station. They also had an awesome snack bar that was stocked with cupcakes, popcorn and amazing donuts that were made by a local teen who has a killer side hustle and is opening a stand in the mall (#girlboss)! It was a ton of fun to talk to some of the models and see all of their looks. My favorites by far were the Levi’s, Lacoste and Banana Republic looks.

Back to School

Being back-to-school themed, the event itself was definitely geared toward a younger crowd; however, a lot of the looks and the overall style will translate so well from a back-to-school look to an every day fall look for those of us that are (sadly) not going back to school come September.

I’m looking forward to all the earthy tones, especially that mulberry color! There are also lots of great fringe and ’70s vibes carrying into the fall!

What back to school (or fall) looks are you most looking forward to?
