Blush Tones and Spring Fever

Yesterday we welcomed the first taste of spring in DC with welcome arms. I don’t know about you but I’m ready to put away my beloved sweaters and layers for a while and be able to walk outside with a lightweight jacket and not die of frostbite (okay, maybe a tad dramatic with that one).Spring Fever Blush Tones

After being sick all of last week and the first part of the weekend, I was very excited to get out of my apartment for a little bit of window shopping and wandering through Georgetown on Sunday. It was sunny and warm and didn’t get dark until about 7:00! You can tell that people in DC are anxious for the warm weather based on what their wearing. I saw so many people walking around in shorts and t-shirts. It’s not quite that warm and there is still snow on the ground, but I get where they’re coming from!

After doing some serious window shopping (all shopping dollars are being saved for Bali so for now), I am absolutely loving the spring palette. Although I don’t usually wear a lot of pink, I can’t get enough of all of the blush tones that I’m seeing everywhere this spring. It’s a perfect neutral with just enough color so it matches pretty much anything. I especially love pairing it with blues and greys!

Have you introduced any blush tones into your spring wardrobe?
