In my mind Fall is broken into 2 parts, I think it’s partially because in Boston late October and early November is traditionally cold, way colder than normal Fall weather (whatever that is, considering it was 80 degrees today I’m not sure honestly.) The first part of Fall is September/October, it’s full of apple picking, hot apple cider, trips to the fair and carving pumpkins and then once November hits it’s all about Thanksgiving, being thankful for our families, friends and everything we are so blessed to have in our lives. The Holiday season seems to officially kick off, November is like the pre-season to Christmas in my mind! I cannot believe that October is almost over, this month absolutely flew by and I’m getting really excited for the next couple of months, the holidays and the new year! Today I am thankful for so much, it’s so easy to go through each day overlooking all of the little things we should be thankful for, its a little less than a month from Thanksgiving so I wanted to share some great quotes about being thankful to start getting you in the mood!
“Be thankful for what you have and you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.” – Oprah Winfrey
“It’s not happy people who are thankful, it’s thankful people who are happy.”
“We must find the time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives” -John F. Kennedy
“Gratitude is the sign of noble souls.” -Aesop
Take a minute this morning and think about what you are thankful for (we don’t have to wait till Thanksgiving dinner to go around the table and announce what we’re thankful for!) tell someone you love you’re thankful that they are in your life!
Are you getting excited for November and all that comes with it? What are you thankful for this morning?
I am completely obsessed with Pinterest, it’s a problem, I’ve been known to sit on their for hours pouring over the thousands of drool-worthy photos, planning trips to day-dream about and getting some fashion and design inspiration.Lately I’ve been unable to stop looking at all of the amazing fall Pinterest boards. I’ve gone through and pulled seven of my favorite fall Pinterest boards to share with you!
Layers upon layers upon layers. This board is full of gorgeous sweaters, scarfs and jackets, oh my!
For fall fashion, this is one of my favorite boards. Everyone posts about fall fashion this time of year but I love that she has devoted an entire board to my very favorite of all the fashions! And of course, they’re all gorgeous!
This one might be my absolute favorite. There’s something about it that is just dreamy, it makes me want to escape to a cabin in the woods or go camping for a weekend.
All I can say to this one is yum. All vegetarian, all dripping with perfect fall flavors!
This board has an unbelievable mix of gorgeous photos and mouth watering recipes. I want to try everything.
This is such an amazing board that exudes everything I love about fall, I feel like I am sitting by a fire in a big cozy sweater going through it.
Pinterest vs. productivity is a major struggle sometimes for me as I tend to get lost in stunning boards like these ones and forget about the things that need to get done! Are you a Pinterest fan, what are your favorite fall Pinterest boards?

I’m heading back to Finland and then to Iceland over Thanksgiving and couldn’t be more excited!
Blue is my favorite color, all shades, I don’t really discriminate but I really love turquoise!
I think this changes daily but right now Charleston, I can’t wait to get down there this weekend. It’s such a beautiful little town with so much old southern charm, it’s the perfect escape for a lazy weekend away.
