I’m not going to lie, I kind of feel like I belong in Gossip Girl in this outfit. Is that the lamest? I don’t know why but there’s something about it that makes me feel incredibly fun and confident and that makes it the absolute perfect girls night out outfit!
This blazer has been on repeat so you can expect to see it around here more than a couple times this fall, the color is the absolute perfect shade of pink. Not that I’m surprised, J.Crew knows it’s way around color after all. The shade is a great one to transition into Fall and Winter. I have a feeling I’m going to get a lot of wear out of it, I already have in the last couple of weeks! It transitions great from desk to drinks, even if it seems like I am the only person in the city wearing color at the office, and is so much fun for a girls night out!
The temperatures are slowly dropping in DC but it’s still warm enough that I don’t need a heavy jacket when I’m heading out with the girls. Don’t get me wrong, I love the colder weather but, I am not in a huge rush to be lugging around a heavy coat that I only really need while going from the car to the bar! For now I’m perfectly content throwing on this fun blazer over a tank and being ready to walk out the door!
I picked up these Steve Madden shoes last week at the For the Love of Shoes event going on at Arundel Mills and I absolutely love them! They are so fun and comfortable. You can’t really see them because of how long these jeans are (seriously never happens to me!) but trust me they’re perfect and you’ll be seeing quite a bit of them around here!
I am a firm believer that if you’re having a bad day, or week, you should put on an outfit that makes you feel good, sometimes it’s about faking it till you make it. We all have those days when it’s easier to stay in and watch an entire series on Netflix than go out and be social, especially after a long week at work or a fight with a friend/significant other. So on those days when all I want to do is stay in and watch a movie in yoga pants and a ratty t-shirt, that means putting something on that makes me feel great and confident and forcing myself out the door!
