Springtime Brunch Outfit

Spring is finally here, and while I’m not quite as eager as the people walking around Georgetown wearing shorts and sandals I am loving not having to wear a big heavy jacket, scarf and gloves every day.

The other great thing about this weather? All of the restaurants are re-opening their patios and rooftops for brunch!! This time of the year is the best time to take advantage of the patios because in hopefully 2 months it’s going to be too hot and humid to breathe, let alone sit outside for brunch!

I teamed up with one of my favorite DC blogger babes Katie to bring a couple of springtime brunch outfit ideas!

Katie and I met back at Blogger Scene and clicked right away, we have since been emailing back and forth pretty much non-stop and experienced our first DC Fashion week together!

With the gorgeous weather (and perfect backdrop of Georgetown) we decided to venture into Georgetown for some brunch at El Centro. If you haven’t had a Mexican brunch you are truly missing out!

I’m a little bit obsessed with Katie’s springtime brunch outfit, it’s the perfect outfit for the warmer weather, and her shoes are beyond adorable, do not be surprised if when they make an appearance in my closet at some point in the very near future!

El Centro has a great brunch-$34.95 for bottomless food and drink!  With 2 locations it’s also a perfect pick because you can be a little bit more flexible with your group! We chose the one in Georgetown (the other location is on 14th street) to allow for some wandering around M St and the canal.

If you head to El Centro absolutely get the guacamole, it’s one of the best I’ve had and with bottomless you can order more than one order (like we did!) I also loved the bacon, egg and cheese taco and the plantains for dessert!

This jacket is absolutely perfect for this weather, and as Katie said it’s nice that it’s not the typical Barbour jacket that makes you feel like you should be heading out to go hunting.

Brunch is one of my all time favorite things to do on the weekends in DC, if you’re looking for somewhere to head this weekend check out some of my other favorites.

Le Diplomate – while they don’t have a bottomless option this is hands down my favorite brunch spots! The vibe is so great and the food is incredible, it truly feels like you’ve stepped off the streets of DC and into a Parisian cafe. I love their patio this time of year and the 14th St location is great for walking around after. Order: the Breakfast Pastries

Cava Mezze – another favorite of mine. $30 all you can eat and penny mimosas? I’m in! Make it a full day outing and hit District Doughnut after then walk over to Eastern Market!

Sequoia – an awesome buffet with great views and an awesome vibe! A little pricier at $44.95 a person but definitely worth it.

Farmers, Fishers and Bakers – another buffet option but at $29.99 a much better deal. Perfectly situated by the waterfront so you can walk around down there or stretch brunch into a shopping adventure up on M St!
