2016 Travel Wish List

Is anyone else as excited as I am that February is over and we’re a week into March? I don’t know why but February always feels like the longest month to me. Thankfully, this year was definitely a little better because San Diego winters are a lot less harsh than D.C. and Boston, but I can’t help feeling like spring is here and I’m so excited!

As y’all know I love to travel and do it a lot. One of my favorite parts of blogging having the flexibility to explore new places! Over the past year I’ve been able to check off two of my biggest bucket list locations when I went to Bali and Australia and had an amazing time with my family in Ecuador, plus a bunch of smaller trips here in the US!

I’ve spent a lot of time over the past couple of weeks doing some research (travel resources list to come I promise?) on a few more places on my 2016 travel wish list. I’ve done a lot of international travel in my life but I feel like I haven’t done a lot of travel right here at home, so this year I’m definitely excited to explore some new cities on my 2016 travel wish list!

2016 Travel Wish List Chicago

Chicago

This one’s been on my list since I almost spent my senior year spring break there. Between the food, design, history and culture it seems like such a cool city and I can’t wait to explore it!

2016 Travel Wish List New Orleans

New Orleans

Another one that’s been on my list for years. I don’t know if it’s the music, the food or the colors but there’s something about this city that piqued my curiosity and I haven’t been able to let it go. I’m hoping to hit cultural hotspot later this summer with a friend from London who is hopping across the pond for a few days.

2016 Travel Wish List Palm Springs

Palm Springs

I think I could spend every weekend for the next year going to a different spot in California and only see half of all this amazing state has to offer. With Palm Springs only a couple hours away I am dying to do a little weekend getaway and see this incredibly colorful city!

2016 Travel Wish List Austin

Austin

I’ve never been to Texas, other than driving through it very briefly on my drive across the country a few years ago, Austin seems like the perfect place to introduce me to the state. Everyone I know who has been absolutely raves about it, also it’s the home of Whole Foods so it has to be good, right?

What’s on your 2016 travel wish list?
