i love reading and with summer in full swing i’ve been doing a lot of reading on the weekends while at the pool or when i’m outside while we’re grilling and just hanging out on the patio.here are a few books that are on my list or that i highly recommend to toss in your bag before you head to the beach or the pool for some great summer reading!
1. the billionaire’s vinegar:: i just started reading this and it’s really interesting. it’s all about these billionaires who are after the world’s most expensive bottle of wine even though there’s no documentation about it and it can’t be consumed because it’s so old it has turned to vinegar.
2. the selection:: quick, easy and entertaining read. the first of three books, i blew through this series and absolutely loved it (plus the cover’s really pretty so that’s an added bonus!)
3. the devil in the white city:: i’m trying to add some non-fiction into my reading list and this came highly recommended. i can’t wait to read it!
4. serena:: such a good book, it’s currently being made into a movie starring jennifer lawrence (who i want to be best friends with) and bradley cooper. it’s a haunting story about a north carolina timber company and the couple behind it all. so good.
5. #girlboss:: this has been popping up everywhere and it seems like every 20 something year old girl has read it. it’s next on my list after i finish the billionaire’s vinegar!
6. the vacationers:: currently number 26 on the new york times best sellers list this book is a great story about a dysfunctional new york family on vacation in spain. it’s a great summer read!
7. duty:: i was so excited when this book was announced, i even preordered it for my nook so i could start reading it the day it came out…fast forward 7 months and i still haven’t started it. i’ve heard it’s great though (especially if you’re a total politics nerd like me!) so i’m looking forward to reading it this summer
8. beautiful ruins:: i read this a while back and loved it. such a great story and would be a perfect beach read!
