I’m still trying to figure out where I’m going to set up my little office space, I’m thinking it will end up in my living room in front of my window’s but we will see! In the meantime I’ve shifted gears and started working on my closet and bedroom wish list. Right now my room is a little overwhelming, there is stuff everywhere. I have 2 suitcases that I haven’t unpacked from various trips because I have no where to put the clothes, my closet is bursting at the seams and my bookshelves are still very very empty.
I’m working on doing a major closet purge (round 2 because the last time wasn’t quite enough) and I’m hopefully getting my gallery wall up in the next couple weeks – if anyone has any pointers please send them my way! My main focus now is getting a bed, and trying to get my bedroom a little more set up so it feels a little more like a retreat rather than stressing me out every time I walk into it! Getting my room to that point is going to take a lot of work and is going to be a slow process (hello teeny tiny budget) but that doesn’t mean I can’t spend hours on Pinterest planning my own bedroom retreat right? Here are a few of my favorite rooms that are giving me major room envy and helping me make my bedroom wish list!

My main pieces on my bedroom wish list are either a bed or a headboard, I also would love to find some really cute nightstands. I want my bedroom to be a space that I like to be in, especially since I’m in such a small apartment it would be great to be able to spend a little less time in just my living room! I dream of a cozy, feminine yet light and airy space with pops of colors and personal touches. Styling my shelves is going to be a huge task but I think it’s going to be a lot of fun to be able to add some personality to them.
Decorating an apartment is hard, I’m still getting used to the idea that I don’t have a lease that’s about to end and I’m not about to be forced into another move. Getting out of that mentality has been hard but also nice knowing I can do whatever I want to the space because it really is mine and I’m going to be here for a while.
