If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably noticed that I’m a little bit (okay, a lot) obsessed with the Gal Meets Glam Collection dresses. I have long followed Julia’s blog and admired her style and was so excited when she announced she would be releasing a line of dresses!
When I first tried them on I was even more excited, the quality is great and the fit is perfect. I wore the eyelet shirtdress I got from her first release back in May, all summer long and most recently wore the most perfect navy blue dress to a dear friends wedding. When the September collection launched last week, I immediately fell in love with the fall styles, let’s just say my bank account is less than pleased with me right now.
The past year I’ve found myself gravitating more and more toward dresses, my office requires formal business attire and dresses tend to be the easiest option, one thing I love about the Gal Meets Glam dresses is that I can easily wear many of the pieces to work, but they also are perfect for outside of the office! This cream dress is no exception.
I went back and forth on whether I wanted the cream or the berry, and ultimately I am glad I opted for cream. It feels so sophisticated and it goes well with everything, plus I know it will be gorgeous for date night this fall and winter!
It’s the perfect shade of “winter white,” so no concerns here about rocking white after labor day – not that I was all that concerned to begin with. And paired with the right pump and a colorful scarf it is perfect for the office.
For this workwear look I paired it with a cute new pair of pumps from Ann Taylor that are so comfortable, and this gorgeous leather tote! I’ll be sharing more on both of these pieces in another post next week, but like pretty much everything else I have from Ann Taylor, they are amazing. I think my favorite part of the outfit though, is the way my HermĂ©s scarf pops against the stark background of the cream dress. I picked this scarf up on my trip to Paris earlier this year and it’s so special every time I wear it.
Because of the long sleeves you really don’t need anything else, which also makes it a winner in my mind because of how easy it makes getting ready in the morning! With that said, I can’t wait to pair this with a light jacket or blazer if the weather ever decides to cool off here in DC.
