I headed down south this past weekend for Halloween in Charleston with a couple great friends from high school. It was such an amazing weekend, Charleston has quickly become one of my favorite places to visit. Even in the freezing, rainy and windy weather I had such a great time, it’s such a beautiful city with so much to offer and so much to do! Halloween down there was so much fun, I’m so glad we decided to go for a holiday, there were loads of young people out and we got to hang out with and meet some really fun people!
I shared with y’all some easy Halloween costume ideas a couple weeks ago and I actually ended up going with one myself, Great Gatsby themed costume! Since there were three of us we had Gatsby and two 1920’s flapper girls. It was such a fun costume to put together and so glamorous, we looked pretty great if I do say so myself!
I got my dress from Gatsby Lady on Etsy, I love it and really hope I can come up with an excuse to wear it again soon, it was surprisingly comfortable too which was great! I picked up another one of her dresses because they’re all so gorgeous, that I’m hoping to wear for New Years!
On me: Dress/Necklace/Bracelet 1 & 2/Headband
On McKenzie: Dress/Bracelet/home made headband
I love seeing all of the great costumes everyone comes up with on Halloween, I think my favorite this year was Taylor’s though, he was a deviled egg. So easy and creative!
Unfortunately the weather was pretty terrible the rest of the weekend so we spent a lot of time snuggled up in blankets watching movies and going out to eat. Pretty much anywhere that didn’t involve being outside ha! Luckily my last day the weather improved enough for a little bit of a walk on the beach on Sullivan’s Island and a gorgeous sunset. I’m already plotting my next trip down there, there’s just something about that little city that I can’t quite get over, I love it so much!
