there has been so much talk about harry potter this week, with the abc family potterhead weekend coming up, the new section of harry potter world opening up at universal studios and the new short story being released by j.k. rowling i thought it was only fitting that i share a few of my favorite harry potter quotes with y’all.
1. “about to turn 34, there are a couple of threads of silver in the famous auror’s black hair but he continues to wear the distinctive round glasses that some might say are better suited to a style-deficient twelve year-old.”:: i loved hearing about some of my favorite childhood characters, this story made me crave more though. i grew up reading and loving harry potter, i stood in line every year at midnight for every book release, and then again for every movie release and when i finished the last book i think i cried because i realized the series was over. it’s fun to see how jk rowling continues to keep the story and the characters alive!
2. “happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” -albus dumbledore
3. “when i’m 80 years old and sitting in my rocking chair, i’ll be reading harry potter. and my family will say to me, ‘after all this time?’ and i will say ‘always.’ -alan rickman:: i love this for a couple reasons. one i think it really shows how much all of the actors in these movies really identified with their characters, enough so that alan rickman uses one of my favorite moment’s of severus snape to describe how he feels about the books. awesome.
