I love Thanksgiving, it’s hands down my favorite holiday. Every year, I feel like it slips further and further out of the public eye as the Christmas season seems to get earlier and earlier. So while everyone is sharing their gift guides and tree decor I’m doing my best to resist and focus on this special holiday that is all about family, all we have to be grateful for, and of course, food.
I’m heading home again this for Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving for us usually means low key, helping my mom in the kitchen, setting the table, and maybe heading to see the fox hunt kick off in the morning (depending on how cold it is and how early I get up), but I still love to get dressed up. Nothing super fancy. I always try and keep my outfits comfortable (because food), but there is something so nice about sitting down with family for a nice dinner and being dressed in something a little more than the usual yoga pants and sweatshirt uniform I usually have on while I’m at home.
Enter this wrap from Tuckernuck.
It is so soft and super cozy. Perfect for if you have plans to be out and about or if you’ll just be curled up on the couch watching the parade, I mean football.
I wore it over this deep green turtleneck to wear to brunch while my mom and sister were in town last weekend and some engagement pictures James and I took with Alicia. With the turtleneck underneath, it was warm enough to wear without a jacket. Earlier this week, I decided to mix it up a little and paired it with a crisp white button down for work and the look was equally as chic and totally work appropriate!
I rounded up a bunch of cozy essentials for fall and winter that would make for a great Thanksgiving look below! Would love to hear what you like to wear for Thanksgiving in the comments below!
