It’s been a while, the last four months have been a whirlwind and I promise to share a little life update soon!
In the meantime, let’s talk about this total power suit from Ann Taylor.
If you’ve been around for a while, you know I have a bit of a love affair with Ann Taylor, their clothes are sophisticated, fashionable, comfortable and always inspire confidence in me. When it comes to workwear, they are the first brand I go to, so when they reached out to see if I wanted to partner on their #WhereverYouWork campaign and showcase their new bi-stretch suiting collection, it was a no brainer.
Working on Capitol Hill means a different day pretty much every day, I spend a lot of time sitting at my desk like most people, but I also spend a lot of time running around The Hill, and my job doesn’t necessarily stop when I leave the office. I love these first couple of pictures because I happen to get a work call right as Alicia and I started shooting and she was able to capture a couple of fun shots of me truly on the job. I actually spent most of this shoot working, hence why I’m looking at my phone so much!
Wherever you work, whether it’s in a setting as formal as The Hill or a more casual startup, or if you’re self employed, I think having a power suit in your wardrobe is absolutely essential. Something you can reach for when you need to feel extra confident, whether it’s for a big meeting or a pitch if you’re anything like me sometimes your outfit can just pull your confidence level to where you need it to be!

This collection from Ann Taylor is so versatile, I love that it is modern, the lines are clean and sleek and the material is super comfortable. I could easily style this dress for an event or dress the blazer down with a pair of jeans.
This is absolutely my new go-to power suit, I feel like I can take on the world when I’m wearing it, but can we take a moment and talk about these shoes? They are so comfortable, like every pair of Ann Taylor pumps I’ve tried to date, and the scallop detail is absolutely gorgeous. Just that simple little detail really elevates such a classic black pump.
