I was in New York over the weekend and had so much fun playing tourist and visiting all of the big touristy spots I don’t usually get to visit when I’m with my friends who live there! The highlight was definitely Brant Park because the Lilly Pulitzer for Target pop up shop was still going on!
One thing I have never seen in New York City was someone wearing Lilly Pulitzer, it definitely doesn’t fit in with the typical dark colors donned by most New Yorkers so seeing Lilly for Target in the Park against the New York City backdrop was very cool.
They had Lilly artists set up around the park painting prints on canvasses and a juice bar just like the one Lilly started her business out of!
Most of the inventory was gone but I was able to pop in and take a look around the shop and pick up a couple of little things, they were giving away these canvas bags which were so cute!
Did you pick anything up from the Lilly Pulitzer for Target launch on Sunday? I stayed up until 4:00 am and was able to snag most of the items on my list but the launch definitely did not go as smoothly as I wish it had. I’m excited for my stuff to arrive, I’m crossing my fingers that it gets here before I leave for my trip to Bali. I have to say, despite the craziness of the Lilly for Target launch, I had so much fun interacting with so many other women on Twitter who were trying to get all of the items on their list! It also made me feel a little less crazy for staying awake until 4 am to go shopping!
They really did bring Palm Beach to NYC with the Lilly for Target in the Park set up. They had this whole area set up with hammocks, beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels, all Lilly for Target of course. It was a perfect spot to kind of take a break from the craziness of sightseeing in the city and relax for a few minutes!
