Palm Springs quickly topped my list of favorite destinations after my trip around Christmas. The food is great, the weather is amazing (at least in the winter, not sure I would love the desert in the summer quite as much), and I have to say, the architecture and interior design amazed me at every turn. One of my favorite parts of the trip was driving around and seeing all the different houses, and all the doors! So weird, I know but there are so many gorgeous front doors throughout the city, including the famous pink door that every blogger on your feed has probably snapped a picture or 3 in front of at least once.
I knew I wanted to take a ride over to see the pink door while we were there, because why not? The street it’s on is full of gorgeous homes with equally gorgeous front door situations. I especially loved one a few houses down with a set of lions on either side (another insta-famous door). And since we were there I obviously took advantage of the back drop and grabbed a few photos.
I wore a variation of this outfit almost the whole trip but this look in particular was my favorite. Palm springs has such a retro feel to it, and in this outfit I felt like I fit right in. The best part about it? It’s a swimsuit! Made pool relaxation to Palm Springs exploration super easy because all I had to do was throw my shorts on and go when I got bored at the pool. It so perfect since we had a relatively unplanned itinerary and tended to play it by ear.
