Is anyone else absolutely exhausted after staying up late for the Oscars last night?
I cannot get over this weather we’ve been having the last couple weeks, as much as I love winter, I have fully embraced spring. A week or so of 70 degree weather, in the middle of February will do that, I guess. It wasn’t a terribly long or cold winter, but I am definitely experiencing a little bit of spring fever. It has been so nice to be able to walk home from work and meetings, sit on the patio at lunch and dinner and just generally be outside without freezing half to death! I’ve been trying really hard to spend more time out and about and less time on my couch watching Netflix and the weather is making that far easier to do.
This weekend was insanely busy but a lot of fun. I spent Saturday with friends, first, celebrating a new business, then, another friends hiatus from the working world for a little while. Sunday I went to an awesome blogger brunch at Quinn’s on the Corner in Arlington (y’all the pineapple mimosas are life changing), before heading out to shoot some pictures with Monica and Katie, then an exciting and motivating meeting with Serena.
I’m continuously amazed by the incredible creative community here in DC. I have met great friends, who have continued to inspire me and push me to think outside the box when it comes to this space. They have also continuously supported me throughout my blogging journey.
I finished off this weekend feeling excited, rejuvenated, and refocused, I’ve been doing a lot of things on the business and tech side of things around here to get ready for some big changes this spring. I’m excited to start shifting my attention back to my favorite part of blogging, bringing y’all great content.
My top is unfortunately sold out, same print here, similar top here // jeans c/o LL Bean // my favorite shoes // bucket bag
I’m taking full advantage of the warm weather before heading to Iceland in a few weeks and have been living in this top. It is so fun, and a little bit different than what I would typically pick out, but I absolutely love the sleeves and the print. It really is perfect for spring and works great for a get together with the girls but can also be dressed up for the office. I have a feeling I will be wearing it on repeat this spring.
