Spring Forward

Lifestyle blogger Brianna Manzelli of Bree West sharing tips to get through daylight savings and a perfect transitional spring outfit

Is anyone else struggling this morning? It’s so silly, because I know we only lose one hour when we spring forward, which I love, but that first Monday morning after Daylight Savings is always a struggle for me!

My main tips to survive the spring forward?

1. Drink lots of water
2. Go to sleep an hour earlier instead of sleeping an hour later
3. Try to avoid that late afternoon caffeine fix, it will help you sleep later I promise
4. Go for a run or walk, take a spin class. Just get moving, it will help
5. Get outside, take advantage of the longer days, you’ll quickly remember why you love the spring forward!

I am looking forward to longer days and warmer weather though. We all got a little bit of spring fever a few weeks ago and Mother Nature decided to put us in check real quick and decided to throw a surprise blizzard at us for tomorrow and while I love the snow, I am missing 70 degree days and lunch outside!

I haven’t given up though, I’m still wearing my Barbour jacket as much as possible, and only pulling out my pea coat when it’s too cold, I refuse to pull out my puffer again until Iceland. This outfit has been on repeat the past couple of weeks, it’s the perfect transitional outfit for this time of year. Is anyone else loving this pajama top trend?? I love how comfortable it is, but it still looks so put together.

Y’all, let’s talk about this bag. Because it is everything. I saw it a few weeks back and bought it immediately, it was a true impulse buy and I regret nothing. I very rarely spend money on bags, I’d much rather I first fell in love with the strap, it is so much fun. But I also love the color, I think it will be the perfect accessory all year round, but especially this spring.

This guitar strap trend was seen quite a few times at NYFW (which I actually didn’t even realize until after I bought the bag) but this one is far less than a lot of other bags that I have found. It is incredibly gorgeous though, and for the price point you really can’t beat it. Plus it’s on sale, which makes it even better!
