With holiday travel around the corner, I thought I’d share with y’all, in my experience, the perfect travel outfit! I am the world’s worst packer (seriously, ask anyone that knows me, it’s a problem), but there’s one thing I’ve definitely figured out with all the traveling I’ve done in the last couple years: the perfect travel outfit.
For me, this outfit consists of a lightweight sweater, cozy scarf, comfy pants, flats, and a weekender as my carry-on! It’s perfect because it’s comfortable and versatile — if you need to head straight to dinner or a holiday party from the airport, all you need is some fun jewelry and a bright lip and you’ll be all set!
When picking the perfect travel outfit there’s a bit of a balancing act between being comfortable and still looking nice. I always try to dress nice-ish when traveling – sometimes it can be easier to slip into yoga pants or leggings, but I feel so much better when I am a little more put together. You never know who you’ll be sitting next to after all.
This scarf has become an absolute staple for me when traveling. It is so soft, and it’s big enough to easily convert to a wrap to keep me warm when I start to freeze (which happens every time I fly)! I also love the neutral color — it matches everything so I can just throw it with anything!
This bag, y’all, is quite possibly my absolute favorite bag that I own. Unfortunately, it’s not available anymore, but I picked one that’s similar that I am seriously wanting! A big weekender is the best thing to carry on. After losing my luggage earlier this summer and being without it for almost 3 days, I am a little bit paranoid, so I make sure to always have a backup outfit in my carry-on. Having a big-enough bag to fit a change of clothes plus all of my carry-on essentials (more on that soon) is key.
