Happy Wednesday everyone! We are halfway to the weekend and I am super excited! Election Day in D.C. is always a little bit exhausting, exciting, but exhausting. The past few months it has felt like people have been holding their breath and has been difficult to focus at work, so I’m happy it’s behind us and now we can start planning for the next couple years. Plus, now that election day is behind us I can start getting excited for the long weekend! My parents are coming to D.C. to visit for an early birthday celebration so it should be a great weekend!
Fall is finally in full swing in the city, temps have largely stayed in the 50’s which is such a nice change after a really hot and humid summer, and even though I shot this dress a month ago (I am so behind on outfit posts, oops!) I still find myself reaching for this dress in my closet. It transitions perfectly into fall, even with the cap sleeve.
My office requires super professional attire and in the past year I have found myself really gravitating toward dresses more than anything else. I love being able to change the look of a dress by adding a blazer or cardigan, but this dress? It’s a showstopper in it’s own right.
Navy and white is pretty much my favorite color combination of all time and the bow really is the perfect touch! The fit of the dress is absolute perfection and the fabric is J.Crew’s 365 crepe making it perfect year round.

Can we talk about this backdrop for a second? We shot these photos at The Line Hotel here in D.C. which is my new favorite spot to grab a cup of coffee or a drink.
